This type of diet for pets many not have the most appealing name but it is a healthy alternative to feeding your animal.  The BARF diet is also known as the Bones and Raw Food Diet.  The food served is raw, natural, nutritious and safe to feed your dogs and cats.  The philosophy behind the BARF diet is that this is how animals ate before commercially prepared animal food came along.  The difference between the two being that raw foods still have living enzymes which are destroyed during the cooking and processing of commercial dog and cat food.
